VIDEO CONFERENCING: REPRESENTING YOUR CLIENTS DURING COVID-19 PANDEMIC

The daily routine of a lawyer is demanding. Hours are spent performing legal research, making in-court appearances and interacting with clients.

Due to social distancing, most lawyers are currently working from a home office or remotely. One of the adjustments due to this challenge means, at least for the time being, forms of face-to-face networking are off limits.

The Suffolk County Sheriff has provided us a video link which has been downloaded and designated on terminals in our Central Islip and Riverhead offices. You are able to speak to your clients should you want to prior to your conferences or to update them on the status of their cases.

If you wish to take advantage of the video conference with your client, simply reach out to Dan and the terminal will be blocked for you. Once we schedule the time, you will need to contact the Jail and ask that they make the inmate available.

You must give 48 hours’ notice to the Suffolk County Correctional Facility to schedule a video conference with your client. Please call 631-852-3356 to schedule same.

Stay well and stay healthy.
